Cost Effective Model
Last year alone Communities In Schools of Nevada coordinated $1,474,597 worth of services, implementing our national, evidence-driven model. We also mobilized 1,093 volunteers who provided 3,245 hours of service in the schools, at immunizations clinics, as mentors, packing backpacks of food, and many other critical services for our students.
When it’s all said and done, 90 cents of every dollar goes to programming for children. Especially in these tough economic times, it’s important to know how to stretch a dollar. As a result of our efficient and cost-effective model, we can support one CIS student for an entire year for about $200.
